Ewa Dygaszewicz, certified diabetes educator. Member of the Board of Directors of the Polish Diabetes Association in Warsaw and President of the Regional Branch in Gdansk.
Ms. Ewa in 2020 in Pomerania prepared and carried out the international KiDS program for children affected by diabetes. This program was developed by the International Diabetes Federation (IDF) and the International Society for Children and Adolescents with Diabetes (ISPAD) to support school-aged children and adolescents affected by type 1 diabetes to treat the disease, combat discrimination in the school environment and create awareness of healthy living. For many years, she has given lectures and conducted dietary workshops for diabetics, educational boards on the care of a child with diabetes in an educational institution, senior citizens, people with disabilities and participants in activation projects. She is the author of three books with recipes for dietary dishes “We cook”, “Direction of health” and “Vegetarian dishes for diabetics” developed for people with disabilities. She works at the Diabetes Outpatient Clinic, Specialized Medical Clinic “Srodmiescie” in Gdynia, where she conducts individual consultations and group training for patients with insulin-dependent and insulin-independent diabetes.
