The Polish Tourist Organization (PTO) – performing the tasks specified in the Act on the Polish Tourist Organization – undertakes the following activities:
- promotes Poland as a country attractive to tourists – modern, with high standards of services and favourable prices;
- conducts image-building activities for the promotion and development of Polish tourism, both in Poland and abroad;
- organizes national stands at the largest national and international tourism fairs where exhibitors are representatives of the tourism industry and local governments;
- organizes site-inspections, study visits of foreign journalists and tour operators to present Poland as a country attractive for tourists, which is reflected in articles about Poland and offers of trips to our country;
- cooperates with regional and local tourist organizations to increase interest in Polish cities, regions and certified tourist products among domestic and foreign tourists;
- conducts seminars, conferences, and industry training sessions, as well as promotional events;
- publishes printed materials and materials on electronic carriers, i.e., catalogs, brochures, maps devoted to Poland in over 20 language versions;
- runs campaigns and marketing campaigns of Polish tourism, especially active, business, spa, medical, rural, urban tourism, including branded products and Polish Tourist Brands, UNESCO sites, national parks;
- analyzes trends in world tourism in cooperation with international organizations dealing with this area, which allows to set priorities in Polish tourism;
- develops the activity of the Poland Convention Bureau, whose aim is to increase the popularity of the meetings industry, MICE in the world;
- operates the Polish Tourist Information System.
